We strive at each and every visit to provide the best possible medical care and believe that strong relationships enhance our treatments. Our Office Manager is always available to help with any suggestions or concerns that may come up. We do not consider any questions to be foolish and want you to feel that you can ask us anything regarding your child’s wellbeing.
A Pediatrician is a medical doctor, who has attended medical school and completed a pediatric residency specialized in the treatment of children. A Pediatric NP is an advanced practice nurse with a master’s degree specializing in the treatment of children. Both Pediatricians and Pediatric NPs are uniquely trained in the treatment of infants, children, and teens and are certified by their respective governing board to perform pediatric care. Our providers treat both acutely and chronically ill children as well as do preventative well-child annual exams and sports physicals. They educate parents and children on healthy lifestyle, growth and development, safety, and emotional wellness to foster lifelong healthy habits.
Yes, we strongly encourage parents to visit our office for a “new patient meet and greet” with the provider they are interested in for their child. During this time providers spend time introducing themselves, answering any questions parents may have, and establishing a therapeutic relationship so that new parents can feel at ease bringing their newborn for his/her first visit.
No, the office is not accepting patients at this time. The providers will likely be accepting new patients again starting in the late spring of 2025.
Calling our office for medical concerns is absolutely encouraged! Our staff is always available during office hours to take detailed messages regarding your concerns and your call will be returned same-day by either one of our medical assistants or Pediatric providers.
Yes, sports physicals are a part of our recommended annual well child visit. All sports or school forms can be completed at your well visit or may be filled out at our office as long as your child’s well visit was within the last year.
Stepping Stones Pediatrics office is designed entirely with kids in mind! Our waiting room is large, welcoming, and filled with toys and books to keep all ages engaged. Our exam rooms each have a theme ranging from underwater to dinosaurs to penguins. Each room is filled with toys, puzzles, books, and magazines. With each well-visit from ages newborn – 5 years, our patients receive an age appropriate book to take home as a part of the Reach Out and Read Program. Our warm and friendly staff as well as small office size create an inviting atmosphere and aim to ease the stress of medical visits.
To refill a prescription, please call our office during open hours at 719-583-2330. It is always best to call your preferred pharmacy to ensure no refills remain on the medication needed. Please notify our office 3-5 days prior to running out of medication, especially for controlled substances such as Adderall, Concerta, and Focalin.
Our Pediatric providers are specialists in the care of common childhood illnesses and injuries. Sometimes, your child may require more detailed evaluation by a specialist to address their condition. You and your Pediatric provider will make this decision together based on your child’s medical needs. Our office will initiate a referral to a specialty office using your insurance network and location preferences.
Medical advice is available for our patients 24 hours a day. If the office is closed and you need medical advice for your child, call our office and follow the prompted instructions. You will be connected to Childrens Hospital of Colorado’s nursing triage service & the physician on-call will be contacted if needed.
We provide well child care, preventative and developmental screening, vaccine administration, acute illness or injury visits, chronic illness management, hospital care, and assistance with specialist referrals.
